Lot Details
From the Highlands of New Guinea. Pig rope - hand made from fibres from the inside of the bark of a tree. Fibres are soaked for several months in the river until all the sap is removed. Village women rub the fibres on their thigh and bring the individual fibres into strands and then a rope. H40 x 21cms
