The Press Archives Historic Collection Glass plate negative, photograph 1914 & Unsigned 380 x 560mm Additional Notes: "Press Archives Historic Collection of photographs from glass plate negatives Found in The Press Archives from 1914, showing the First World War effort in New Zealand. Embarkation: In September 1914, the Tahiti (HMNZT No. 4) and Athenic (HMNZT No. 11) embarked the Canterbury detachment of the NZEF in Lyttelton, transporting 1,882 men and 617 horses before sailing for Wellington to join the main convoy. - The Press Condition: This piece is framed with glass front and mat.
