By using slow shutter speeds and panning, he captured the dynamic motion and "dance" of the matador and bull rather than focusing on the gore Digital Camera World.Ernst Haas captured his most famous bullfighting photographs in Spain, notably in Pamplona and Arles during the mid-1950s The Metropolitan Museum of Art. His technique—which became a hallmark of his pioneering color photography—intrigued even Pablo Picasso .
