His pictures are held in Te Papa, the Dunedin Public Art Gallery and in public collections in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Singapore Renowned Austrian-American photographer Ernst Haas and leading New Zealand landscape photographer Matheson Beaumont shared a professional connection centered around New Zealand photography circles and exhibitions. 1985 Function: They met and were photographed together alongside Brian Brake and Brian Meeting at a "Focus on New Zealand" industry gathering in April 1985. Exhibition Production: Beaumont handled the production, framing, and backing of specific exhibition works for Haas, including notable prints like Haas's La Suerte de Capa, Pamplona, Spain.Promoting Photography: Both shared strong ties to the developmental era of organized fine-art photography in New Zealand during the 1970s and 1980s, with Beaumont involved in local and national photographic societies that championed Haas's touring exhibitions
