Keith Morant (1944 - 2022) Between Miracles Oil on canvas Signed front lower right & verso 760mm x 1010mm Provenance: Private Collection Christchurch British born, resident in Christchurch since 1973, Morant was a prolific, obsessive, internationally acclaimed painter for over 50 years. He created a unique body of expressive abstract work. Believing passionately that painting, like music, must communicate across all cultural and language barriers. He developed a visual non representational lexicon of bubbling forms and sinuous symbols, vividly coloured and always in an apparent state of continual motion.
