Family Ephemera & Unnamed (as issued) 2nd China War Medal - to Captain Francis Hayter Royal Navy

An interesting group containing the 2nd China War Medal (unnamed as issued) to Captain Francis Hayter - of the South Canterbury Sheep Station Rollesby near Burkes Pass along with the following Hand Coloured Original Photograph of Hayter as a midshipman in 1857 aged 13 1/2 Years - Photograph is 215mmx 165mm. Handwriting on the reverse from his sister - photographer was Maull and Polybank of London Framed Photograph of him taken in the 1860's or 70's photographed by Mahaw & Muir of Timaru. Photo incidentally is a rephotograph copy taken in 1929 - There is handwriting on its reverse stating this which is covered by the binding. A large family photo album with photographs of the family and handwriting stating it was from Henry Wharton to Francis Hayter in 1876 Two small framed artworks - a sailing ship and the family crest belonging to the wife of Graham Goodenough Hayter to whom these items once belonged. The original log books and letters from Francis Hayter are said to be held in the MacMillan Brown Library in Canterbury University Christchurch and can be accessed on Microfilm.
