Lot Details
The Union Bank of Australia one pound, hand signed and dated Napier, 1st January 1890. No. 2/W 70843. It measures approximately 187mm by 118mm. Heavily circulated with numerous tape marks both back and front and with rough edges on three quarters of the note. No holes. In the Catalogue of the Trading Banks of New Zealand, 2006, by Alistair Robb it states that only two used examples of this note are held in private hands. Excessively rare.
