Lot Details

Ko te Kawentata Hou (The New Testament), Translated by William Williams. Printed by (Wareta Makaroweara) Walter McDowel, London 1842 Fair condition commensurate with age. Very worn front board with leather coming away, extreme foxing and splitting from front board to pages. The New Testament translated and printed into Te Reo by Missionary William Williams. Light brown leather covered copy, printed only 2 years after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. A historical book for the religion of New Zealand.
