The New Zealand Auction Saturday, 14 June 2025 / 11:00 am start

The New Zealand Auction is here! A celebration of everything New Zealand and its fascinating history. This auction begins with some fascinating items of New Zealand China ware before a huge Moa bone takes the stage! These are harder and harder to find and an awesome sight to behold. Then there is a carved collection of Tiki and greenstone items. Working with natural minerals and metals doesn't stop there as we then have some spectacular pieces of Sterling SIlver from noted Jewellers before the truly exceptional Wooden Tables. These fabulous examples of marquetry highlight the incredible talent of New Zealand craftsmen and the amazing natural timbers on offer. The auction has a large showing of New Zealand mid century pottery and a large selection of Crown Lynn including several sought after Ginger Jars. The sale concludes with a selection of ephemera from important New Zealand events including the 1981 Springbok tour, and a 1940's period LRDG Fob made by an Auckland jewellery, as well as a large number of New Zealand agricultural, sporting, and fire medals. Lot 188 is of special note, a 18ct Gold Fob Award for Saving the Lives of Three Māori: Awarded to G. M. Cleghorn.
