George Chance was a prominent New Zealand-based photographer and Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (F.R.P.S.), renowned for his pictorialist, painterly, and often rural-themed, silver gelatin "Camera Study" photographs, with over 30,000 prints sold. Operating from Dunedin. Often depicting serene, idyllic New Zealand landscapes and occasionally, nostalgic English-style scenery.
