Edited by Sir James Hector and printed by the Government Printer or local firms in Wellington. A complete run of thirteen volumes of the Transactions & Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute covering the years 1868–1880 (Volumes 1 through 13) is a foundational historical and scientific collection in New Zealand. Covers early New Zealand science, including zoology, geology, botany, Maori history/culture, and meteorology. Books are sold as is, including any faults, and have not been collated. This means pages, plates and maps have not been checked, and sets are not guaranteed complete unless stated. Edition, printing and signature details are given in good faith and are not guaranteed unless stated in the description. Items are offered on behalf of vendors, and many will show wear consistent with age.
