Douglas Mawson, Australia's greatest Antarctic explorer, made four trips to the Antarctic: in 1907-09 with Shackleton's British Antarctic Expedition; in 1911-14, having declined to join Scott's ill-fated Antarctic journey, as leader of the Australasian Antarctic expedition; and twice between 1929 and 1931 as leader of the British, Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE). Books are sold as is, including any faults, and have not been collated. This means pages, plates and maps have not been checked, and sets are not guaranteed complete unless stated. Edition, printing and signature details are given in good faith and are not guaranteed unless stated in the description.
