Some Staining to Pages & Wear to Cover The First Year (1861): It sold over 60,000 copies immediately upon its release as a single volume, an immense number for the 19th-century book market.The First Decade (By 1868): It surpassed 2 million copies sold The Heyday (1875–1914): It reigned as the most frequently consulted book in the English-speaking world for cooking, etiquette, and domestic medical advice. Books are sold as is, including any faults, and have not been collated. This means pages, plates and maps have not been checked, and sets are not guaranteed complete unless stated.
