Kennaway Henderson Well Dressed Gentleman With Cigar (1905) Graphite & Gouache on Board Signed & dated bottom right on recto 457 x 256mm The Press' private archive Additional Information: Information sketched on the drawing is faded- potential date and identification. Graphite transfer on drawing and other aged and worn markings. Board has been stuck onto backing board, but it is unframed now. Two pin holes top of drawing. Andrew Kennaway Henderson (1879–1960) was a New Zealand illustrator, political cartoonist and editor who was active mainly in Christchurch. He was known for his satirical drawings and strong political views, particularly his criticism of war, capitalism, and social inequality.
