Kennaway Henderson President of the East & West Coast Railway League Graphite & Gouache on Board Signed bottom left on recto Undated 439 x 281mm The Press' private archive Additional Information: Graphite transfer on drawing, smudged graphite around face. Board has been stuck onto backing board, but it is unframed now. Andrew Kennaway Henderson (1879–1960) was a New Zealand illustrator, political cartoonist and editor who was active mainly in Christchurch. He was known for his satirical drawings and strong political views, particularly his criticism of war, capitalism, and social inequality.
